The Charlotte Reel Soul Film Festival announces the call for entries for the
1st Annual Charlotte Reel Soul Film Festival,  October 2-4, 2008.

Narrative features, documentaries and  shorts on film, video and digital media,
which have been completed after January 1, 2007 may be submitted. Films
should be written/directed or produced by an African or African American or
feature Africans or African Americans in prominent roles.

It easy to be eligible for the $5,000 in prize money

Films must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2007. Films may not have screened in Charlotte prior to the festival date. No film screened in Charlotte prior to the festival is eligible.

For review purposes, entries must be submitted on DVD . We probably will not have a lot of time to fiddle with your burned DVD that may not work – so check it three times before you send it to us. Submit as many titles as you want – just please treat each as a totally separate entry (don’t confuse us).
